As Told By Broderick Bilancich: The car number was 14 that Bob and Paul had. We were at Jackson one night and Dad asked Gene Tapia to take the car for a lap or two and see what it needs to make it run strong. Gene took it out and told him what to do. That night the 14 was able to get right up on Gene rear in the turns but just couldn't pass him. After that race Dad asked Gene to take the 14 out again. Gene just laughed and said that race was just too close. Gene also said if the seat was more comfortable he would drive it himself in the next race.
